Bytenium

Bytenium software products are made for aviators, motorists and other mobile people in need of geolocation based information. The very first product developed under the name Bytenium was a mobile app that adviced heavy equipment drivers to more smooth, fuel saving way of driving. This product will be published later on to consumers as well. Development of consurmer apps started only recently. The first published product was the Windy X, crosswind calculator for aviators. The next app, Windy XD, will be published before end of the 2013.

Background

Lavanor Oy, founded in 2006, worked originally on a whole different space, namely in packing materials business. After years of hard work, the business was sold to a competitor. For the founders, who still got the company without the package business, it was time to move on to something else. One of the founders (Esa Koivuniemi) decided to return to his roots, software. Motivation behind this decision was to combine software, enterpreneurship and a strong conviction, that aviators need more and better software. A conviction born out of years of flying gliders and small GA-aeroplanes. Bytenium is the result of this conviction and at the same time, a banner to software developed by the Lavanor Oy.
